About IWM Duxford

IWM History Festival is presented by Imperial War Museums live at IWM Duxford, the Battle of Britain airfield that made history and home to the 78th Fighter group.

From the early days of flight, through to the dramatic days of the Second World War and the technological advances of the Cold War, IWM Duxford has played a central role in some of the most significant periods of 20th century history.

How to get there

IWM Duxford is just south of Cambridge at Junction 10 of the M11 motorway, less than 50 miles from central London and approximately 40 minutes from the M25 (Junction 27). Via the M11, IWM Duxford is easily accessible from the A1, A14, M1 and the North. IWM Duxford is located near Cambridge, just off Junction 10 of the M11.
